Setup is not frustrating as people report
I am in 50’s and sometimes computer and software just hate me. I was able to setup the printer to my cell and my fairly old laptop without any issues. I followed the directions and they work; I did restart my laptop as it doesn’t like any new apps going on, it but after that, the printer is on all devices and working. This is an awesome printer I can use with my cell to print docs and photos as well scan items laptop or cell. I’m 21st century now!

HP 8139e Nice Printer
Easy to set up. It takes about 45 minutes. Iâm fairly tech savvy for 67. I was upgrading HP printers. Just follow the instructions. The printer update took the most time. I took the ink package. I had it before and it is slightly less expensive and I like having them just send me the cartridges. I never ran out of ink and returned the used cartridges in the envelope provided. Had it printing from my pc, and multiple iPhones with ease. Nice prints so far. Sleek design. The noise level seems like most printers, but itâs not too loud. Only had it one day. Itâs not too high, a little longer than my previous one. Overall it has a nice appearance. The screen is not bad, easier to read than my previous one. I prefer HP printers for the quality and long term use. I think Iâm going to like this upgrade.

Terrible!
We bought an HP 8600 printer and it was outstanding, and performed perfectly for 20 years, but of course, they are no longer making that model. So we bought this one and it is terrible! EVERY time I want to print, it says it is not connected to the internet (when everything else in my house is.) EVERY time I want to print, I have to turn the printer off and I have to be right next to it with my device to print. It wonât print from downstairs like my other printer did. Several times when I printed multiple pages, it stopped in the middle of one page and I had to restart the printer again to get it start again and I had to start all over. Also, EVERY time I print a couple of different jobs, it does not do it well. So you need to do each job separately and check all pages because it doesnât always finish the job. When I try to copy something, I have to turn it off and on again. I can get it to work and when it prints, it is fine, but it takes a lot of finesse. It is not at all reliable. I am retired and donât use it much, but it would be unacceptable if I needed to use it for my job.

Setup can be easy for some
Ah HP. My love/hate relationship. So, I got the new 8030e printer today. It went fairly well for setup. For some reason any time I wanted to set up this printer on any of my devices on the network, the automatic scan feature did not detect the printer. So, a quick piece of advice: If you’re attempting to set up the printer on your network, go to the touch screen of the printer after its initial setup and note the IP address. Then when you go to your various devices and computers in your home that you’ll want to print to this printer from, and the setup says it can’t find your printer, just search manually with that IP address and it will come right up.The next thing to know is the print cartridges on this printer are pretty small. If you’re going to be doing a lot of printing, you’re going to go through the cartridges fairly quickly. I did a couple test prints that happened to have blue in it and already the cyan cartridge is registering the ink level to be lower than full. I don’t know this for a fact, yet, but if you decide to buy refilled cartridges, you might have less than perfect results, or the printer will not detect the cartridges as being legit HP and may not accept them as being installed. Just be aware of this. That said, I still can’t figure out why my iPhone detects the printer yet my wife’s does not. Again, love/hate.Once you get the printer set up, you’ll find it’s quiet and prints nice pages. The color looks good, dark and crisp. It’s not going to be the fastest printer in the world. But it does the job at a fair price.

Nice, simple printer
When our old printer died, we of course, needed another. Love the fact this is more compact, easy to set up and still delivers on all the things we use it for. Ink is on the expensive side…but, it is what it is. This printer is perfect for the price!

Good printer but you can only buy HP branded ink – no other options
I got this printer set up very quickly, but I should have done more research. I haven’t had to buy a printer in a few years, but my existing HP one crapped out after a power surge (despite being plugged into a protected outlet).I came across this one and seemed to be good bang for the buck. However, I only realized after I received it that you have 2 options for ink: the HP ‘Instant ink’ program which basically means you pay for EVERY page you print out like old school “Kinkos” copiers; or you buy your own ink — and ONLY HP offers it. I looked at every other ink vendor like I used with prior printers, and nope, no one makes this particular “923” one. Not even Costco carries it, so you’re buying at Amazon or HP.com.To replace all 4 colors (black, magenta, yellow, blue) it’s $80 without tax. In less than 3 refills I will have spent as much as the printer itself.Find something more economical.

Does the job
I purchased this printer as a replacement for one that had malfunctioned. Setting it up and installing the software was straightforward. However, I encountered an issue when I tried to add the printer to my existing Instant Ink subscription; I was only credited with 2 months, and since one of those was the current month, I effectively received about 40 days of service. I reached out to HP customer support via their social media page, and after sharing photos of the box indicating 12 months of service and the Amazon listing, along with my Amazon invoice, they resolved the issue by adding an extra 10 months to my subscription and crediting me an additional 30 pages.

Similar to 8035 but slightly slower response time

Great printer. Sign up for the ink program. So worth it if you have students or run a small business.

I just got my new Hp office jet Pro 8034e printer and was extremely happy with it until the original ink cartridges run out and now itâs impossible for me to get 910Xl 8034e I got 910 Xl 8035 hoping it will work but not itâs far from the original!I should have been told that I will not be able to get the same ink because the contrast between the original and what I can get itâs bad!Love â¤ï¸ the printer but !!!!!!!Does anyone have suggestions! For me itâs important to get true colour in my prints!
