    Great for Home office
Bought this for my home office and so far it works great….crisp copies and the scanner works perfect. Cannon mobile app is great for scanning on the go and printing from ANYWHERE.Screen command buttons are a little awkward but not a deal breaker…Holds a good amount of paper and was easy to set up.

Love that I can print from my phone
Initially it took some time to set up. A little sad it’s only black and white ink. Not a dealbreaker though. I love the convenience of printing from my phone and not having to hook up my computer.

    Good Printer!
The only problem I had was setting up my new printer. You can no have any malware on your computer (I have a Mac). Once I cleaned my computer the setup was very easy. This printer prints on both side of the paper and prints super fast. I am highly recommending.

Why didn’t I buy this years ago?!!
I got this delivered today; taking it out of the box was the hardest part with having to remove so many tapes, which would help with shipping. So you get the idea how easy it was! I looked for some printer cable but none were supplied; well this is a wireless printer. I connected to a power outlet and pressed the power button–which was a little hard to find (yes, I didn’t even open the supplied user guide!). Upon powering on, selected my home’s WIFI network; the printer was smart enough to find that the network doesn’t have any password (we have no neighbors!). After setting up, I went to various Windows 10/11 PCs and Added Printers and this was found and added and software automatically installed in 4 PCs in no time! I printed a test page. I scanned too–result of which was very good. Incredibly easy to setup and use. My Canon MF 3200 will be donated soon to a charity; it still works fine but time for us to move on. Wife had enough ‘Office Space’ rage over the old printer either in sleep mode or paper jams–which were not really the old printer’s fault.

    Randomly reset to Japanese, unfixable
I loved this printer when we first got it. It was not too hard to set up and connect to our WIFI network. It also worked really well for B&W images, the main reason we bought it.But, now after only having it for almost 2 months, and printing about 5 documents total, it doesn’t work. Let me explain… My son was trying to print out an application for his drivers license test and he came to me to tell me that it wasn’t working. The first thing that I noticed when I got to the printer is that the language was not in English anymore. According to Google Translate, it was now Japanese, and I had to use Google Translate to try to get this thing back up and working. The first thing that I tried to do was to set the language back to English, of course, but it wouldn’t take the entry. I would click on English and OK then nothing would happen and it would return to the previous screen, still in Japanese. I though, OK, I guess we’ll have to use it in Japanese then. So, I tried to set up the network again because it had forgot the network that it was on, for some reason. It connected and I did a couple of test prints. Then, it forgot the network again.I tried downloading any drivers that I could find and I also tried a firmware update, but none of that worked. I really want to like this printer and tell everyone that you’re making a great decision to buy it, but I can’t. Not after this experience.I’m really don’t like dealing with returns, so this is probably just going to end up in the trash.DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!You’ve been warned.

    Great for the technically challenged
After having an HP all in one last time – and dealing with its annoying required bloatware – I knew I wanted a different brand.I also learned that I wanted a laser printer, not an inkjet , since I don’t need to print often.I do not use a PC or laptop. I just needed something to print emails, receipts, documents, etc from my phone. I had no idea what to buy. Gave myself a headache doing research. Tech talk schmech talk.I finally said “ok that’s it… I’m just going to order a printer & hope for the best”.Hello Canon! I like you!Plugged it in to an outlet & then into my router (chose this after trying wireless setup because trying to enter my router key was a PITA on the printer keypad) … followed a very easy setup… downloaded the Canon print app from my app store (dunno if i NEEDED to but i couldn’t find nor figure out how to install “drivers” per the instructions because this model was either not listed on the Canon site or it didn’t like my phones OS … and BINGO! I’m printing stuff. And making copies. Haven’t tried to scan…. and don’t know if I will ever need to. I will deal with that if/ when it arises. 2 thumbs up from the 57 year old disabled lady.

Not as dependable as I had hoped
Thought this might be a good alternative instead of having to keep up with color cartridges but had trouble with it after trying to update the firmware. Machine locked up and after jumping through the required hoops, a new machine was the only fix that would work. Got the second machine, and had a second problem with it. Through the hoops again, except they stated no replacement was available and they’d send one as soon as one came available. After a couple of weeks, I checked again and asked to be put in touch with someone from Canon. I explained the problem and was immediately shipped another new unit overnight…3rd one in 5 months. This one is still working but I’m skeptical as to whether this one is “the charm”. Time will tell, keeping my fingers crossed.
